Sales Executive, Meetings & Events - Maternity Cover

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Sales Executive, Meetings & Events to join our team at The Swan at Streatley, a riverside hotel and events destination. This 18 month maternity cover role starting in Autumn 2025 offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving sales and supporting the delivery of groups, meetings, and events in a vibrant hospitality setting.


Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the planning process for groups, meetings and events to include final deposits, collating final numbers and menu options, building and distributing function sheets and updating our booking platform.

· Liaise directly with clients via phone, email and face to face to upsell our offering, and ensure all final details and relevant information for bookings are captured for function sheets

· Achieve a of set KPIs, including, upsells targets, quality of work, high service levels, attention to detail, response time, client tours and sales plan objectives.

· Ensure all sales tools, including, digital collateral and virtual tours are up to date and utilised effectively throughout the sales process.

· Support the sales team in responding to client queries via email and phone and ensure these channels are covered during business hours.

· Update online lead generation platforms to include promotions, imagery, and accurate property information.

· Help manage and develop a portfolio of accounts to increase revenue and market share

· Support the sales team with activities that help the hotel achieve revenue targets across group bookings, meetings, and events.

· Attend and support the management of key sales events to include virtual presentations, wedding show cases, seasonal restaurant launches, fam trips, menu tastings etc.

· Participate in regular sales, revenue and strategy meetings to share details on bookings and clients

· Attend and present in weekly operations and function sheet meetings.

· Ensure company and sales team standards, processes and SOPs are followed in line with hotel guidelines.

· Provide ongoing support to the Sales Team and Director of Sales with ad hoc projects and commercial initiatives throughout the year.

· Assist with budget planning and forecasting processes, including expense tracking and reporting.

· Support with competitor analysis to ensure the hotels and venues remain competitively positioned within the market.
